Suriya, Shruti, Harris & Murugadoss at press meet:


Red Giants Udhayanidhi Stalin held a press meet today (Sep 26) for the successful audio 

launch of his Suriya starrer 7aum Arivu. The audio according to Sony Music spokesperson 

has been “sold out” within hours of hitting the music shops.

At the press meet Suriya, director AR Murgadoss, music director Harris Jayaraj, Shruti 

Haasan and producer Udhayanidhi Stalin took centre stage. They spoke at length about

7aum Arivu.
AR Murgadoss the captain of the ship said: “We were working on a script that should outdo 

Ghajini in terms of grandeur and script. We found this exciting story of Bodhidharman who 

lived in 6th century. Art director Rajeevan has recreated the schools of 6th century Shaolin 

Temple; Peter Hein has come out with some awesome stunt scenes. Harris worked really 

hard to give a Chinese song. Antony has ensured there’s not even one redundant frame”.

Shruti Haasan revealed that she plays Subha Srinivasan, a young scientist. About her 

experience in working in the film Shruti said: “Suriya is a wonderful co-star. He’s not just a 

star but a galaxy by himself!”

Harris Jayaraj paid Shruthi rich compliments when he said she is one of the best singers in 

India. Harris explained: “There’s no singer like Shruti Haasan in India. She’s versatile and 

talented and has got a fabulous range.”

Suriya concluded the press meet saying that he is happy to play Bodhidharman who has 

“contributed to zen, founding of Shaolin Temple and revered as an Indian monk worldwide.” 

He also spoke about the technicians behind the film like Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, 

action choreographer Peter Hein, editor Anthony, art director Rajeevan and hair dresser 

Bhanu who contributed their mite to the making of the film.
Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin said that the film will release for Diwali 2011 worldwide.
